LHS begins pilot F2F classes for TVL students

131 Senior High School Technical Vocational - Livelihood (TVL) students, together with six TVL teachers participated in the Pilot face-to-face classes in Lagro High School last February 14, 2022.

Lagro High School received a safety seal certification from the Department of Education, which served as an indication that the school was ready to hold limited face-to-face classes.

“Lagro High School had conducted subsequent meetings to meet the requirements of the organization ensuring the safety and health measures while complying with the need for face-to-face classes.” Lagro High School Principal, Dr. Diego M. Amid said.

During the flag ceremony,. Diego M. Amid said that he was happy and he admired the courage of the students to learn. “Ako ay nagagalak na makasama kayo at makita ng personal, humahanga ako sa inyong katapangan upang matuto.” Dr. Amid said.

According to Jay Mar A. Corbo from Grade 12 TVL Home Economics, section Astor, he was very excited since TVL students are skill-based. “Nung una nag alangan pa ako kung mag vovolunteer ba ako, kasi natatakot ako sa Covid, pero nag join na ako kasi sayang ung skills na maituturo nung teacher ko” Corbo said.

Following the DepEd order no. 017 series of. 2022, Lagro High School expanded their limited face-to-face classes, and 26 students from caregiving and immersion also participated last May 17, 2022.

Aside from this, junior and senior high school teachers were expected to report to the school during their asynchronous schedules.

LHS also conducted face-to-face classes for the alternative learning system program every Saturday, led by Mr. Jay-R Tadeo.

LHS also introduced 32 student teachers from Colegio De Sta. Teresa De Avila.

Students and Teachers were required to follow all the safety health protocols inside the school such as wearing face masks all the time, social distancing, using alcohol before entering the classroom, and submitting contracting forms.
