LHS student Shannen Manzano enters Top 24 in MWP 2021

Lagro High School's Grade 12 student Shannen Manzano secured a place in Top 24 among 43 candidates in Miss World Philippines 2021, held at Subic Bay Exhibition and Convention Center last October 3, 2021.

Manzano also got into the Top 10 in three Fast Track Challenges including Best in National Costume, Miss Talent, and Miss Multimedia.

"I am the youngest and the tallest candidate and I am here to represent to youth that we are very empowered, resilient, confident and we are purposeful enough to stand on this stage and to be a representative." Shannen Manzano stated in the Question and Answer portion.

The Lagro High School Social Media Club, teachers and students congratulated Ms. Shannen Manzano for making the school proud in Miss World Philippines 2021 via social media posts and comments.

Manzano expressed her gratitude for the opportunity she was given and to the support she received all throughout her journey with multiple Facebook posts she posted last October 10.

"As our Grand Coronation Night was aired tonight at GMA 7, it still felt surreal seeing myself on national television slaying the nation stage at the age of 17 makes my heart so full and happy. I'll be forever grateful for this opportunity. I am now officially closing this journey with a smile and a happy heart." she stated.

Tracy Maureen Perez was crowned Miss World Philippines 2021 with Miss Eco Philippines, Kathleen Paton, Miss Tourism Philippines Trisha Martinez, Miss Reinahispanoamerica Emmanuelle Vera, Miss Environment Philippines Michelle Arceo, Miss Multinational Shalia Rebortera, and Miss Eco Teen Philippines Tatyana Austria.

The crowned queens will go and compete overseas to represent the Philippines with their respective international competitions.
